- To be put in this green waste bin, one can include light green waste, such as twigs, shrubs, and grass clippings, as well as small branches, leaves, and palm fronds. Woodchip and bark are allowed as long as they do not have any soil attached. Tree trunks under 150mm in diameter and less than 500mm long are permitted, as well as untreated timber. There is a weight limit of 150kg per cubic meter.
What cannot be placed in this bin
- This skip bin is for green waste only and there are weight limits of 150kg per cubic. Accepted materials include light green waste such as shrubs, grass clippings, and twigs, small branches, leaves, and palm fronds, woodchip and bark with no soil attached, tree trunks smaller than 150mm in diameter and under 500mm long, and untreated timber. Not allowed in this green waste skip bin are bricks, soil, concrete, tiles, dirt, sand/stone, rocks, pebbles, palm tree trunks, large tree roots, synthetic grass, hazardous materials like asbestos, insulation, liquids, empty chemical containers, perishable or non-perishable foods, perishable materials that are likely to decay, spoil or putrefy, and wet paint tins. There should be no mixed materials of any sort, except for what is specified in the accepted materials.
