What We Accept For Household Waste
- The skip bin can accommodate a wide range of household and office waste without any weight limit or additional charges. Acceptable items include clothes, toys, paper, kitchenware, shredded paper, cardboard, stationary, furniture, appliances, and whitegoods. Light green waste such as shrubs, grass clippings, and twigs are also allowed. Books, papers, and pamphlets are acceptable as long as they take up less than one quarter of the bin's capacity.
What cannot be placed in this bin
- When using the skip bin, please take note that certain items are not allowed. This includes heavy materials like brick, soil, sand, concrete, tiles, stone, rocks, pebbles, as well as palm tree trunks, tree trunks, roots, and turf. Building materials like wood, gyprock, fibro/fibre/villaboard, and carpet should also not be placed in the bin, nor should excess books, papers, and/or pamphlets that exceed one quarter of the bin's capacity. Hazardous materials like asbestos, insulation, liquids, empty chemical containers, perishable or non-perishable foods, perishable materials (likely to decay, spoil, or putrefy), and wet paint are strictly prohibited. If you have synthetic grass, please inquire about a quote before placing it in the skip bin.
